ETSC 265 Three-Dimensional Modeling
Using SolidWorks
Spring Quarter 2018

Final Grades

All three sections of your Final Evaluation - including the FDP Score - have been graded and the Grade Sheet has been fully updated for the quarter.

Your graded drawings and your compiled Peer Evaluation Form booklets are available in the box in the CAD lab HT120.  They will be  available until late on Friday and by request after that.

Congratulations Josh!  The best Final Design Project as judged by the class - through your Peer Evaluation Forms - has been determined.  Renderings of all of the Final Design Projects can be found in the Final Gallery Section below.

FDP Design Winner:
"Rocket Engine" by Josh Maclurg

Congratulations to all that passed the recent CSWA exam.  Your CSWA certificates can be found at
CWU's CSWA Hall of Fame.  And use your CSWA certificate as a tool in your job search!  Beyond the classroom, this certificate allows students to compare their SolidWorks modeling skills (from parts, assemblies and drawings) to anyone else in the World!  And this class did great!   Next stop, the CSWP!

Week 1 Announcements:

Come to the first class of Week 2 prepared by viewing the Instructional Videos for Week 1 and modeling the Class Design Projects (CDP) listed in this section below (to be updated soon).

Decide what your Final Design Project will be.   This is a design of your own (within reason), half of your grade and you'll be judged by your peers.  Submit a Final Design Project Proposal for the WDE in Week 2.  Click on the above link for more information.

Getting Started with SolidWorks:

SolidWorks is available in the two CAD Labs - HT118 and HT120 - every day except class times and Saturdays, check the schedule on each of the CAD lab doors.

For your convenience every student enrolled in a SolidWorks course (with a valid student email address) can download a Student Edition of SolidWorks for their own personal use, with limitations of course.  Check the links and procedures on the Resources Page

Weekly Design Evaluation (WDE) usually the first class day of each week, none this week.
